Our sustainability performance has been widely recognized internationally. Cathay has been selected as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) — included in the DJSI World Index for seven consecutive years and the DJSI Emerging Markets Index for ten consecutive years — making us the longest-standing company in Taiwan’s insurance industry to receive this honor.
In the global wave of sustainability and the net-zero transition, Cathay has long been dedicated to responsible finance and climate action, making every effort to drive progress. We were the first Taiwanese financial institution to participate in the “Blue Zone” at the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP), and we serve as a benchmark for financial institutions for responding to the FSC's initiative by becoming one of the five founding members of the " Coalition of Movers and Shakers on Sustainable Finance."
