The University of Taipei (also referred to as“UT”) was established in August of 2013 by merging two existing universities. Bo-Ai campus used to the Taipei Municipal University of Education, was founded in 1895. It is the oldest and the first higher education institution in Taiwan. Tian-Mu campus used to be Taipei Physical Education College, founded in 1968, with an emphasis on sports science and athlete training programs.
UT, the only municipal university in Taiwan, is a comprehensive university focusing on urban development. Based on tradition and innovation, UT features mastery of teacher training, expertise in athlete training, and a specialty in urban development.
